Every message that arrives gets read for the work inside it: the request, the commitment, the deadline, the follow-up somebody promised. That becomes a tracked task in DoBox, assigned to a person, with a link back to the message it came from. The rest stays a message.

Surface the work you didn't know you had

Reading every channel and pulling the tasks out happens on its own, with nothing to configure. What one person is told becomes something the whole team can see, so the ask that arrived in somebody's DM on Friday is not a surprise on Monday.

  • Every task keeps a link back to the message it came from, so the context travels with it
  • Assign it, prioritize it, set a due date, and add a checklist, without leaving the thread
  • Describe a workflow in plain language and it can file the task onward, into Jira, Asana, Monday, or ClickUp
  • What the work teaches gets written into the shared brain, so the next reply starts from it

Questions about task capture

Do I have to set anything up for this to work?
No. Reading your messages and pulling the tasks out of them starts as soon as you connect an account, with nothing to configure. Workflows, which decide what happens to a task next, are separate and you build those when you want them.
What counts as a task?
A request someone made of you, a commitment you made to them, a deadline, or a follow-up somebody promised. Newsletters, receipts and notifications that only report a status stay as messages. When the reading gets it wrong you can dismiss the task, and nothing is deleted from the original message either way.
Does it replace my task manager?
It can, and for teams that mostly work out of their messages it usually does. If you already run on Jira, Asana, Monday or ClickUp, a workflow can file the captured task into that tool instead, so the capture happens here and the tracking stays where your team already looks.
Which channels does it read?
Gmail, Outlook, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Google Chat, and WhatsApp Business. Each channel keeps its own stream rather than being merged into one inbox. What is shared is the task list they all feed.
Can my team see what I have been asked to do?
Only what you share. Tasks can be assigned to a person and grouped into shared lists, so an ask that arrived in one person’s DM on Friday is visible to the people who need it on Monday. Your messages themselves are not shared by doing this.
What happens to a task once it is captured?
It keeps a link back to the message it came from, so the context travels with it. You can assign it, set a priority and a due date, add a checklist, or mark it done. If you have built a workflow that matches, it can act on the task automatically.

Stop missing the work buried in your messages

Connect your inbox and your chat, and the tasks hiding in them show up as tracked work. It gets more useful the longer it runs, because what your team knows collects as it goes.
