Gmail integration

Your inbox reads itself. Then acts.

Connect Gmail with OAuth and this+that starts reading every thread. Tasks surface in DoBox automatically. Workflows handle the work that follows — drafts, labels, forwarding, calendar invites — without you touching the inbox.

OAuth read access — secure, scoped, revocable

this+that connects to Gmail using Google's standard OAuth flow. We request read access to your messages and the ability to send and manage drafts on your behalf — only the permissions your workflows need. You authorize once in a few clicks, and you can revoke access from your Google account settings at any time. We never store your email credentials.

Workflows triggered by Gmail

Describe what you want to happen in plain language. this+that builds and runs the workflow.

"When an email arrives from a VIP sender, star it, label it Priority, and send me a Slack DM"

Combine Gmail labels with Slack notifications so nothing important slips through while you're heads-down.

"When an email from a client mentions a deadline, create a calendar event and notify the project lead on Slack"

Email triggers with cross-tool actions. One workflow bridges Gmail, Calendar, and Slack.

"When a customer support email arrives, draft a reply using our FAQ and assign the thread to the support alias"

First drafts handled. Team routing handled. One workflow step each.

"When a meeting invite arrives, RSVP yes if it's under an hour and I'm free, otherwise draft a decline"

Calendar management as a workflow. No more switching tabs to check availability.

"Forward any email about invoices to accounting@company.com and label it Finance"

Routing rules in plain language, not regex. Works across any keyword or sender pattern.

"Every Monday, summarize my unread email from the past week and send it to my personal address"

Scheduled digests of whatever matters to you — no dashboard to check, just a clean summary in your inbox.

Every thread scanned. Every commitment surfaced.

Automatic task extraction

DoBox reads every Gmail thread and pulls out requests, follow-ups, decisions, deadlines, and commitments — surfaced in one view, not buried in your inbox.

Source context stays attached

Every task links back to the original thread. The context you need for the follow-up is always one click away.

Shared visibility for teams

Tasks extracted from shared inboxes or team aliases surface to everyone who needs to see them — no more forwarding threads to assign work.

Works across Gmail accounts

Connect a Workspace Gmail account, a personal one, or both. DoBox treats them as one stream and surfaces what needs action.

Gmail is the starting point, not the limit

Pair Gmail with Slack to bridge email and messaging in a single workflow. Add HubSpot via MCP to update CRM records the moment a customer replies. Connect GitHub to create issues directly from bug reports. Gmail provides the trigger and the context — the rest of your stack provides the actions.
