The work arrives already written down. A customer’s new address is in their signature, a commitment sits in the eighth reply of a thread, a supplier’s lead time changes in a message somebody read once. Reading the stream is what lets this+that lift those out without anyone stopping to file them.
What it does with the history
Connecting an account pulls in past messages as well as new ones, which is what gives you tasks and contacts on day one rather than after a week of waiting.
Slack, Teams and Google Chat go back one month. Email goes back further, taking a few hours to process the first time, or a day or two for a large mailbox. Either way the first pass takes as long as your message volume needs, and tasks build up as it goes.
What it doesn’t do
Your content is encrypted in transit and at rest. Messages, tasks, Brain pages and contact notes are additionally encrypted under dedicated keys that only the application can use to decrypt. No this+that employee reads your messages except with your permission or for emergency support, and that access is temporary, logged, and available to you on request. We never sell your data or hand it to AI developers to train on. Disconnect an integration and we stop reading it; close your this+that account and your content goes with it.
Joining a team gives your colleagues no access to your mailbox. Everyone connects their own accounts, and you share tasks and lists rather than inboxes.
