Canva integration
The asset exists. Somebody just has to go and find it.
A customer asks for the current one-pager. A partner wants the logo. Somebody opens Canva, searches, exports the right format and comes back to the thread ten minutes later. Connect Canva and a workflow can do the finding and the exporting while the reply is being drafted.
Canva's own MCP server
Canva publishes an official remote MCP server, and this+that connects to it as a built-in. You authorize with your Canva account. The server covers design creation and editing, search across your design library, asset and folder management, exports in the usual formats including PNG, JPG, PDF, PPTX and MP4, and commenting. On Canva Enterprise it also exposes brand kits and brand templates, so generated designs can follow your brand rather than approximating it.
Workflows that reach into Canva
Usually triggered by somebody asking for something, rather than by you opening Canva.
"When someone asks for our one-pager, find the current version and attach it to the reply"
The right file, in the right format, without anyone going to look for it. The version that is current stays current because it comes from Canva rather than from an old email.
"When a partner asks for brand assets, export the logo set and send it"
The request that always lands on whoever is least busy gets handled the same way every time.
"Turn this approved announcement into a social image using our brand template"
On Enterprise, brand kits and templates mean the output looks like your company instead of like a generic design.
"When a design is ready for review, create a task for the person who has to approve it"
Review requests stop depending on someone remembering to chase them.
Most asset requests arrive as a message
The request comes from outside
Nobody opens Canva because they felt like it. They open it because a customer, a partner or a colleague asked for something, and that ask arrived in an inbox.
The finding is the work
Making the design was the hard part and it is already done. What costs time is locating the current version and exporting it in whatever format was asked for.
One version of current
Pulling from Canva rather than from a folder means the file that goes out is the one that is live, not the one somebody saved in March.
Held for approval when it matters
Sending an asset to a customer can wait for your nod, the same as anything else a workflow does.
Canva alongside the channels people ask on
Asset requests arrive by email, in Slack, and increasingly on WhatsApp Business. All of them are read the same way, so one workflow can answer the request wherever it came from and attach what was asked for.
Stop going to look for the file
Connect Canva and a workflow can find the current design, export it in the format that was asked for, and attach it to the reply.
